Sunrise Rotarians did play yesterday at the Merced Mall from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm but also had a more serious note to be accomplished as Merced Sunrise Rotary got the word out about World Polio Day. At this time, only two countries have reported polio cases caused by the wild poliovirus: Afghanistan and Pakistan. Africa has not seen a case in over a year, but our work isn’t done yet. The day was about getting the word out about efforts to end polio. After all we are this close!!
