Stuart returns! Introduces members with announcements about our upcoming Shrimp Feed fund raiser (Saturday, 14 March) – Cathy Paskin ticket count, Nancy Edmiston desserts, Rich Miller business banners, and Betsy Donovan table captains. Other announcements included: Sam Traina reminding everyone about the Polio Plus boxes at each table, Theresa Cesar needs personal size toothpaste for the upcoming Somoto Nicaragua visit, Tim O'Neill reminded Rotarians about the Thirsty Thursday next week, and Mike Altomare invited everyone to a Western Poultry Research Associates scholarship fund raiser at his house 11 April.
Mark Lutz delivers his Vocational180. It is amazing to recognize the life experiences (family, education, vocational, and avocational) each of our members brings and shares when they join our organization.
Merced High Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) provided a presentation to include history of FBLA, how FBLA helps students and our business community. Students provide service to the community, garner leadership skills, and grow their organization. Students then compete against students from other schools at regional, state, and national events. Presenters included: David Tsou, Taylor Deere, Tom Oliver, and Jamison Deuninck.

Hank Strength held the reigns in Stuart's absence and did an admirable job as our acting President. He introduced Nancy Edmiston who provided an update on the Shrimp Feed for Cathy Paskin. Frank Reed who provided his Rotary 180.
Hank asked Gina Cherf who speak about RYLA. Gina then introduced six Merced High School students that had been selected to attend the 2015 RYLA Camp. Each of the six students spoke about their experience at RYLA. RYLA attendees included: Shay Hagerman, Joseph "Brenden" Booth, Erika Bricky, Jaime Arias, Duy Trinh, and Alexis Thompson.
Butch Hughes introduced the guest speakers for today’s program – Keri Alexander and Tom Rail. Keri provided insight into the volunteer efforts in support of the Alpha Pregnancy Help Center. Tom invited members to participate in a fund raising golf tournament April 13th to help support the Alpha Pregnancy Help Center.

Paul Hogue, Merced High School Athletic Director, and Rob Scheidt, Social Science/Assistant Athletic Director MHS, presented information about the upcoming Merced High School Athletic Hall of Fame, March 21st at the Fairgrounds.
Steve Gomes, County Superintendent of Schools, invited Rotarians to the Merced County Report on Our Schools coming up Wednesday, February 18th at Yosemite Church.
